What Is OCEV?

According to California Bill No. 1271 (SEC.2312.5(d)), certain vehicles are specifically excluded from being classified as electric bikes under this code. These vehicles are categorized as Out of Class Electric Vehicles (OCEVs) for the following reasons:

Highspeed Potential: Vehicles with two or three wheels that are designed by the manufacturer to be modifiable for speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or exceeding 750 watts of power.
Post Sale Modifications: Any vehicle that has been modified to attain speeds greater than 20 miles per hour on motor power alone or to exceed 750 watts of power.

These exclusions ensure that only properly classified e-bikes can be markets as such, maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance. Riders of OCEV's should be aware of the different legal requirements and responsibilities associated with these vehicles.

Additionally, OCEVs are designed to offer performance and features beyond what traditional e-bikes can provide. Always verify the intended use and ensure you are compliant with local and state regulations when operating an OCEV.

by a certified bike shop mechanic. If the bike is NOT built by a certified bike
shop mechanic, any warranty will be VOID. We will request for an assembly
receipt as proof of professional installation.

product (including but not limited to - saddles, grips, tires, tubes, cables,
brake pads, chains)

• Failure to provide regular
maintenance of any product

Labor and shipping are the responsibility of the
customer. We do not cover parts purchased and labor performed by another bike
shop.

Def Worth It

I was looking at e bikes but nothing had that cool factor until I came across the crew bike co bmx style e bikes. The Method 750 was a little out of my price range but I wanted something faster than the 350. When I saw the E Crewser had a top speed of 28 mph I pulled the trigger on the stealth gray version. When it arrived and I put it together WOW! I went for a ride and was blown away by how peppy it is. Plus it feels solid and nimble. Definitely impressed. Im about 240 lbs and I got it up to 26 mph. Im sure if I had more room it would have hit 28. There was only one downside. One of the crank arms was scratched out of the box with no damage to shipping box. I reached out to customer support and they made it right; right away. Third bike purchased from City Grounds and Im sure Ill but more.

I've had mine.I've about twenty four hours. Put about 15 miles on it, love it. You'll definitely get twenty eight miles per hour out of it. With throttle only I got about twenty miles so far, down to 1 bar. Super fun to ride. 28mpg. And it's really cool riding a bike with the motor it's super fun.
